Erased is a true crime podcast series following the murder of Elma Sands. The goal in creating this poster was to emulate the text and design of an 1800s-era newspaper headline, imitating the old typefaces and vintage paper coloring. The original poster aped that of a monochromatic news article and lacked eye-catching features. Omitting the sixth episode’s information improved spacing and changed the justification of the paragraphs. The final draft presented a more contrasting tone in the colorization of the poster. Adding a gradient to the middle text helped the visualization and symbolism of the podcast title.
